ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
There is no doubt that whilst farming has contributed significantly to climate change, good practice can be an important part of the solution too.
Our first carbon audit of this farm in 2024 showed that we operate a carbon negative system, with sequestration already exceeding our emissions.
Whilst we are proud of this, we feel inspired to work even harder to do more.
We have become a Carbon Demo Farm and identified a number of areas where we could improve, a major one being the agroforestry system. We are hopeful that this demo network will both help us to improve further and also influence others.

There is no doubt that farming and food production is becoming much harder as our climate becomes more unpredictable - 2024 (wet) was one of the worst farming years in living memory and 2025 (dry) wasn't a lot better! Planning has become much more difficult and our system needs to focus more on risk and resilience alongside sequestering more carbon.
